A post is used for content that is published frequently, such as blog posts and news articles. A page meant for static content that is updated infrequently; examples include a Homepage, an About page, a contact page, and so on.
Posts:
- are timely (in reverse chronological order by default)
- are organized by tags and categories
- have an author and a date
Pages:
- are timeless
- are organized hierarchically (see image below)
- don’t have an author or date
